Overview
This secure and automated recurring payments solution enables merchants to create and manage custom subscription plans, offering predictable revenue and long-term customer retention.

The problem
Before this product, merchants lacked visibility and predictability over cash flow, had no platform to manage subscriptions, and relied on manual monthly follow-ups, while customers often couldn’t commit to annual plans due to credit card limits. These challenges increased missed payments and churn.


The process
Built through an end-to-end product design process: from deep discovery, benchmarking, merchant interviews, and usability testing to iterative delivery, the solution was rolled out gradually, starting with a silent web launch, followed by mobile expansion and a full release to 100% of Stone merchants. The result is a scalable platform with strong organic adoption, high plan and subscription creation volume, and consistently positive merchant feedback.

Plan creation flow:
Merchants start by creating a new plan and defining its core settings, such as the plan name, price, billing frequency, and the date of the first charge. The flow also allows deeper customization, including setting a maximum number of subscribers, adding an optional sign-up fee, and writing a detailed plan description.

Once the plan is published, a shareable payment link is generated, enabling customers to subscribe and complete payment seamlessly. From that point on, charges are processed automatically, giving merchants predictable recurring revenue and eliminating the need for manual follow-ups.
